Clapotis In Progress

in General Knitting

Clapotis in progressI’ve got no recent finished objects to show off, but as you can see, I am making progress on the Clapotis I started recently. I’m at the point in the pattern that I’m no longer increasing the width, just the length, and I get to drop stitches every few rows, so you can actually get an idea of what the finished piece will look like.

One of the nice things about the Clapotis pattern is that it includes instructions on how to make it wider and longer than the pattern suggests, and that these alterations are really easy to do even though the pattern is knit on the bias. The pattern also seems to work well with a variety of yarns.

I’ve still got several feet to go before I finish this up. The pattern is fairly easy to knit though, so I think I can finish it up in a week or so if I keep on working on it a couple of hours a night as I’m lounging in front of the tv.
