Bamboo fiber spins into a lovely, soft, silky yarn that is cool to the touch, drapes well, and as a bonus, has antibacterial properties. However, bamboo fibre is not quite as easy to spin as wool, so it may not be the best choice for the beginning spinner. Here are couple of tips for someone who is spinning bamboo fiber for the first time:

  • Spin slowly - if using a wheel, you may need to decrease the tension
  • Use a lot of twist
