Soysilk®
Soysilk® is the trademarked name for fiber that’s made from soy proteins that are a waste product from the tofu making process. The resulting fiber is soft and warm, and has a relatively long staple length. Soysilk® also absorbs moisture well and drapes beautifully once spun and knitted into a garment.
You’ll find soysilk roving or soysilk top in both dyed and natural colors. Its natural color is light tan or golden. If there are any current eBay auctions for soysilk®, they’ll be listed below. Click on a description or picture for more information or to place a bid.

Paradise Fibers is another good source for soy silk roving. They often carry both natural colored and white soysilk® top.
Soysilk® works well when blended with other fibers such as wool. If you’re going to blend it yourself, you may want to consider cutting the fiber into a staple length similar to the fiber you’re going to blend it with.
