Lincoln

Lincoln sheep are a long wool breed. The staple length of the wool produced by Lincoln sheep is quite long, ranging from eight to fifteen inches, certainly among the longest staple lengths you’ll find. Because of this, and its beautiful luster, Lincoln wool is often used for doll hair, and is also prized by weavers.

Lincoln wool is rather course, ranging from about 41.0 to 33.5 microns. Lincoln sheep produce a heavy fleece, ranging from about 14.5 to 26.5 pounds.
